Complexity are the first North American team to seal their spot at the PGL Major Antwerp.
With the second round of matches ending, we have gotten the fourth team qualifying for the Major from the Americas RMR as Complexity comfortably dispatched of São Caetano with their third win of the tournament.
São Caetano are not out of contention for the Major yet, with one spot available for the remaining teams, but they will have their work cut out for them as one of either Liquid or Evil Geniuses will still be in the running tomorrow as the two biggest names yet to seal a spot.
On the other side, we had two Brazilian sides fighting for their tournament lives, with paiN managing to defeat their opponents of TeamOne and keep their Major qualification dream alive, while the latter have been eliminated from contention with a 1-3 record.
The series in the 2-1 pool had Complexity being massively favored against the surprise of the tournament São Caetano. The series went according to plan for Johnny "JT" Theodosiou and his boys, as they quickly dispatched of the Brazilians on Inferno with a 16-5 scoreline, even though São Caetano were able to get a decent start to the map with the teams being stuck in a war of force-buys, before Complexity were finally the first team to string two rounds together and move up to a 5-4 scoreline. Since that round it was plain sailing for the North Americans, as they lost only one of the remaining rounds, closing out the map with a 16-5 scoreline.
Overpass started out in the same way as Inferno finished, with Complexity starting on the terrorist side of their map pick and easily getting past the Brazilian defenses. Johnny "JT" Theodosiou was the star player on their offensive side, having a total of 18 frags at the half, which his team won 11-4.
Once the teams switched sides, São Caetano fortunes did not improve, as they lost out the pistol round to the B hold of Paytyn "junior" Johnson and Ricky "floppy" Kemery. That meant Complexity were able to get comfortable with their economy and shut out the São Caetano offense, closing out the map 16-5 to win the series 2-0 and guarantee themselves a spot at the Major.

In the elimination match we were treated to a Brazilian derby, where paiN were able to beat TeamOne and send them home. paiN will now go into the 2-2 pool, where the teams will battle for just one more Major spot available.
The series started on TeamOne's pick of Overpass. The match began with the teams trading rounds, as neither one could quite get the game under their control, which meant the half finished 8-7. In the second half it was TeamOne who got off to the better start, getting to a 12-9 lead before paiN won seven out of the last eight rounds, enabling them to close out the map with a 16-13 scoreline.
Next on the menu was Nuke, where paiN looked much more comfortable, even though they started on the less favored terrorist side. They won the pistol round and never faltered after that, winning the half 11-4 despite Pedro "Maluk3" Campos heroics.
After switching sides, TeamOne found a bit more success, starting off the half with five straight rounds in their name. paiN struggled to get rounds in their favor, but managed to get enough success due to their good first half to finish the series with a 16-10 win and keep tier tournament alive.
